LINEV Systems US, Inc. is proud to announce it has been selected as a preferred vendor by SpaceX, one of the world’s foremost aerospace innovators, for the supply of its SPINSCAN X benchtop EPR spectrometers. The units will be used in alanine dosimetry—a critical process for measuring absorbed radiation doses in the context of long-duration space missions.

The units will be used in alanine dosimetry—a critical process for measuring absorbed radiation doses in the context of long-duration space missions.
The SPINSCAN X is a precision Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) instrument optimized for high-sensitivity applications. It offers a compact, robust platform with enhanced detection of free radicals, making it an ideal tool for dosimetry based on alanine pellet analysis. This method is widely used to assess radiation effects on materials and biological systems, ensuring safety and reliability in spacecraft design and astronaut health monitoring.
